The Urban Wildlife Working Group of The Wildlife Society was officially recognized in March 1999. The goals of this group are to facilitate communication and exchange of information among members of The Wildlife Society interested in urban wildlife management, to enhance knowledge and technical capabilities of wildlife professionals in the area of urban wildlife management, and to increase public awareness and appreciation of urban wildlife management issues and decision making processes.
