Major Professor: Dr. Warren Ballard

Research Title: Lesser prairie-chicken lek density and distribution relative to potential wind energy development in the Panhandle

Bio: I grew up in Southern rural Michigan and graduated with a BS in Environmental Studies & Applications from Michigan State University in May 2006. After working several wildlife field jobs in the Southwest and Iowa to gain hands-on experience, I decided it was time to go back to school and further my education. I will be earning a Master’s degree in Wildlife Science under Dr. Ballard and Dr. Butler and will be studying Lesser prairie-chicken lek density and distribution relative to potential wind energy development in the Panhandle. In my spare time, I enjoy running, hiking, backpacking, and collecting stray cats.  My professional interests are carnivore ecology and conservation and human impacts on wildlife.
