The Texas Horned lizard has often been considered to have the look of a modern day dinosaur, but only 3 to 6 inches in length. They have little dangerous horns and have a double row of spikes that run along the side of the lizards. The have excellent camouflage which make them very hard to spot by people and their nature predators. Four toes on each of the front and the back legs that are used for running and digging. The Texas horned lizard is usually gray, but varies to match their habitat.
