Range and Distribution Black-tailed
jackrabbits occur in dry grasslands of central North America and
throughout shrub grasslands of western North America (Clark 1987). They
are distributed
throughout the southwestern United States into Mexico, east to Missouri
and northwest to Washington, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska (Ballenger
2000).
