Range The historical range of the red wolf was the eastern half of Texas into Louisiana (figure 3) Red wolves are currently found in the extreme southeastern parts of Texas and southwestern Louisiana. Red wolves are being reintroduced into Alligator River North Carolina and the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina (animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/). |
