The park contains a variety of
wildlife, including many mammals (six species of wild cats, four species of
monkey, tapirs and peccaries and
tamanduas, to name some), birds (macaws are
quite common), reptiles (including sea turtles, two crocodilians, and a variety
of snakes and lizards) and amphibians (including poison arrow frogs, among many
others). A site maintained by Dr. Larry Gilbert provides
species lists
for many groups.
