Current Graduate Students

   

    Jacob "Jack" Goldfarb is a Ph.D. student working on the ecology and conservation of horned lizards in Texas. He joined my lab in

        2005 and is funded by the Texas Army National Guard.     Contact Jack

    A.H.M. Ali Reza is a Ph.D. student working on the conservation of the herpetofauna of Bangladesh. He joined my lab in 2005 and is still

        designing his project.    Contact Reza

    Nicholas Mannen will be joining my lab late in 2005. His work will focus on the ecology of frogs in northern Canada and will be

        co-advised by David Andersen.

Current Undergraduate Students

    Amanda Owens is an undergraduate working on the use of color patterns to individually identify

       reptiles. She began her project in 2003 and is partially funded by the Texas Tech Honors College.

       

Past Students (in alphabetical order)

   Arijana Barun worked with me as an undergraduate and a graduate student on several projects in the British

        Virgin Islands. She is currently a PhD student in the lab of Dan Simberloff.     Contact Arijana

   Jennifer Owen finished her MS in 2005. The thesis is entitled "The Cuban tree frog (Osteopilus septentrionalis):

        diet, reproduction, and distribution of an invasive species in the British Virgin Islands. The work was partially

        funded by The Conservation Agency. Jennifer is currently working for Texas Parks and Wildlife and deciding

        on where to continue for her Ph.D.

   Nikki Radke finished her MS in 2005. The thesis is entitled "Effects of prescribed fire on nongame wildlife in Texas

        Hill Country" and was co-supervised by Dr. David Wester. The work was funded by the Texas Army National Guard.

   Troy Sternberg finished his MS in 2004. The thesis is entitled "Texas pasture grass repellency to the red imported fire ant"

        and was funded by the Texas Imported Fire Ant Applied Research and Education Program. Troy is currently in Mongolia

        on a Fulbright grant and will soon be starting his Ph.D. at Oxford University in England.
