Welcome to the home page of the Texas Horned Lizard Working Group
The Working Group met for the first time in June 2005. The meeting was held in Lubbock and was organized by Gad Perry (Texas Tech University), Wendy Hodges (University of Texas - Permian Basin) and Lee Ann Linam (Texas Parks and Wildlife), with support from the Horned Lizard Conservation Society. Abstracts from the meeting are online.
The goal of the meeting was to begin coordinating research and conservation efforts in order to reduce duplication of effort and enhance our ability to compare data collected by different researchers. Two initial steps were decided on towards those goals. First, we established a list-serve, managed by Wendy Hodges, which we hope will enhance communication and offer a venue for discussions of goals, methods, and conclusions, as well as posting positions. To join, please contact Wendy. Second, this web page was created. Initially, its main goal is to provide a location where people can post their datasheets or detail their methods so that colleagues can maximize similarity in what data are collected and how they are obtained. Additional functions may be added later.
