Hello

I've been with the USGS Texas Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit and the Department of Natural Resources Management at Texas Tech University since 2000.  At the broad scale, my general interest is the conservation and management of nongame wildlife species, especially in context of anthropogenic influences such as urbanization and energy development. My current research is focused on 1) ecology and conservation of predatory birds, especially as members of ecological communities, 2) conservation of prairie birds, and 3) conservation of migrant and resident bird species in the east Caribbean. Within context of these research interests, I attempt to use research to build upon our basic understanding of species and systems while meeting the more applied management information needs of natural resource managers.

Please feel free to browse the links below to learn more about me and my research program at Texas Tech University.
