Readings are assigned (see syllabus) for most class periods.  You MUST read the materials prior to coming to class.  There will often be study guide questions to assist with your reading.   I will have occasional POP quizzes on readings. We will almost always have in-class activities that will build on or require you to be familiar with the material in the assigned readings.
